GlenApp Castle Wedding Marquee With Coastal Views
The Requirements & Scope
The requirement at GlenApp Castle was to create a structure for 150 guests which would replicate a glasshouse.
Using panoramic roofs, gables and clear window aspects; our client created their own glasshouse with enough space for dining, dancing and entertainment.
Our Deliverable
We provided a 12m x 24m framed marquee, beautifully finished with full-height clear gable ends and a clear roof section designed to highlight the iconic castle tower and flood the space with natural light. Along one full-length side, panoramic window walls offered breathtaking views over the Irish Sea, creating an unforgettable backdrop.
To support event logistics, a 6m x 6m partitioned catering marquee was discreetly positioned at the rear, with covered tunnel access to on-site welfare facilities for guest comfort. For live entertainment, we connected a striking 6m x 6m peaked pagoda, specially designed to accommodate a 12-piece band.
Access was a key feature: solid full-length glass doors were installed on all four corners of the marquee, inviting guests to explore the surrounding gardens and historic castle grounds with ease.
Inside, the dining area was finished with elegant wooden timber flooring and a magical fairy light canopy overhead. We also installed custom hanging fixtures to support lush floral arrangements and foliage, creating a romantic glasshouse ambiance and bringing the outdoors in.
AbbeyHouse Wedding Ceremony Marquee With Full Glazing
The Requirements & Scope
Our client at AbbeyHouse Hotel requested a fully glazed outdoor ceremony space for 120 guests, designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding gardens while providing shelter from unpredictable weather. The vision was a light-filled, panoramic glasshouse that offered an immersive outdoor experience—rain or shine.
Using clear panoramic roofs, glazed gable ends, and full-height glass walls, we helped deliver a truly open, 360-degree garden view that felt connected to the landscape at every angle. In the evening, the structure was effortlessly transformed into an elegant outdoor dancing and drinks area.
Our Deliverable
We supplied and installed a 9m x 18m framed marquee, fully glazed to maximise natural light and garden views. Key features included:
Full-height clear gable ends and panoramic clear roofs
Glazed glass walls on all four sides for uninterrupted views
Four solid glass double doors for multiple access points and air flow
Rear bridal entrance connected directly to the hotel
Fairy light canopy and floral chandeliers as statement interior features
Steel subframe flooring system for a level, premium finish
Cream carpet and ivory linings to complement the light-filled aesthetic
Access was a key design consideration. The marquee included glass doors on all sides, inviting guests to flow freely between the interior space and surrounding gardens—creating a dynamic, open-air feel throughout the day and night.
The Result
The final structure delivered an unforgettable ceremony and celebration setting. By day, the marquee offered shelter and panoramic garden views. By night, it transformed into a glowing space for drinks and dancing under the stars—elegant, versatile, and perfectly in tune with its surroundings.
