Marquees for use in construction

Marquees provide excellent solutions in the construction industry. The Scottish weather can have a big impact on construction business so any facility which allows work to continue uninterrupted is great value.

Marquee Applications

Marquees can be used in the construction industry for keeping workers protected from the elements, protecting building elements, shoring, trenching, excavations.

Examples of Marquee applications in the construction industry:

I & H Brown, a civil engineering contractor, required high spec concrete pads installed in four locations throughout Argyll and Bute. These “pads” measured approx 20m x 30m and were poured in 5m strips. As each strip was prepared and installed we covered it with a marquee which was moved as required. This let the contractor plan with certainly the use of layout and delivery of materials cowing that weather would not affect the schedule.

Scottish Waterways were upgrading the road surface on the bridge at Ardrishaig. The surface had to be kept dry and we installed a marquee over the bridge during the period of the works which were to be done overnight to ensure minimum impact. The marquee was installed in the evening after the road closure and removed early morning.
