Date - The importance of early planning

Marquees are in high demand during peak seasons—especially fro late spring to early autumn, and around holidays like Christmas and New Year. Securing your preferred date early ensures you get:

Availability of your ideal marquee type and size

Better planning time for layout, décor, and logistics

Access to popular extras like furniture, lighting, and dance floors

Smooth coordination with other suppliers (caterers, florists, entertainment, etc.)

Weddings and large events are often booked 6–12 months in advance, while smaller parties might only need a few weeks—but the earlier, the better.

Top Tip: Once you’ve chosen your event date and location, reach out as soon as possible. Contact our team can lock in your spot and get the ball rolling.

Type of event

When planning your event, you need to give consideration as to how the marquee is going to be used.

Internal Finishes

Flooring

In most cases a wooden floor will be required but dependent on the type of event you may wish to consider including a carpet. A large range of colours are available in event carpet, which is used once and then disposed of. Find out more about our Marquee Flooring.

Internal Lining

Dependent on the type of event you are organising you may wish to include internal lining. For wedding marquees and other high profile events we include a pleated ivory lining as part of the standard package. Find out more about Internal Linings for Marquees.

Heating

Heating is included in the majority of marquee  installations and will be provided as part of quotations and proposals as standard – and there will be no additional charges for heating fuel unless it is used.

The size of heater will depend on the size of the marquee and time of year. However, our heaters come with bundled fuel tanks and thermostat to regulate the temperature and reduce the need to heat the marquee in summer months if the temperature is warm.

Lighting

Types of lighting are dependent on the type of function you are organising. Our standard lighting is a modern white globe chandelier but there are a wide range of options available. See our Marquee Interiors page for a full breakdown.

Water and Electricity (Utilities)

Toilets

Do you need additional toilets and if so would you prefer luxury self-contained trailer units or individual chemical toilets? Find out more about Marquee Toilets for Hire.

Catering Facilities

Catering facilities are often required and should be situated within reasonable distance from the main marquee structure for food service. Typically, we provide and additional bay for catering facilities and partition with internal doors to allow for food service under cover.
