Client Requirement
A stunning wedding to encompass ceremony, intimate dining and a stunning nightclub evening function for around 170 guests.
Location
Inveraray Castle – home of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll
Features
A 9m x 21m Ceremony marquee fully finished with full height gable, glass windows overlooking the castle. The ceremony was held in the beautiful private garden area of the castle on the well-manicured lawn. The function marquee comprised a 15m x 50m structure which included a large kitchen, incorporated toilet area, staff area plus the function and dance area. The solid windows allowed stunning views over the adjacent fields and an outdoor verandah gave an excellent viewing platform for a stunning fireworks show.
The Dining area featured wooden floors and a large truss hung low over the vintage style tables which allowed the florist to bring the ‘outside in’ and create an intimate dining experience with festoons hanging from the floral arrangements to give an intimate glow. After dinner the whole mood changed when the lining reveal was removed to showcase a stunning mirrored cocktail bar and a black and white dance area with full lighting package.
Solution
Our clients wanted a separate ceremony area which was adjacent to the Castle so that the guests could move into the Armoury for drinks before moving out the front of the castle to the main marquee. The client was keen to create a really intimate autumnal feel to the dining with a complete change of scene for the evening. This was accomplished through teamwork with the catering team from Wilde Thyme, the floral installation by A Curious Arrangement, Lighting by DAG Lighting, Feature Bars and dance floor by Absolute Dancefloors – all pulled together by Events by Anna. The key to success is good quality, reputable suppliers working in a collaborative manner to pull off a spectacular event.
