Client Requirement
To supply a range of marquees that provide suitable accommodation for various events at the Wigtown Book Festival.
Marquee Style
The main marquee was a 15m x 25m clearspan marquee along with 9m x 9m, 12m, 18m and 36m clearspan marquee structures. We also supplied a 3m x 6m storage area and a 6m x 12m book shop in addition to drapes/linings which were being hung in the school – and, of course, lots and lots of chairs.
Location
Wigtown – Scotland’s National Book Town in Dumfries and Galloway.
Features
This event used a variety of marquee sizes to fit the purposes of the festival. The main marquee used our corporate 15m structure to give a large, airy feel to this public area in which the main events are held. Throughout the festival, we used a variety of suitable lighting, staging (including blackout drapes where necessary), matting, event carpet and of course emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.
Solution
We provided a variety of well-sized marquees for this hugely popular festival which has been held since 1998 and is still growing in stature and strength!
