Client Requirement
We were asked to provide an additional area for a conference that the award-winning hotel. The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Clydebank were hosting the Scottish Schools Educational Research Centre (SSERC). This is the second year we have provided a marquee for the conference.
Marquee Style
We installed a 15m x 30m clearspan marquee on suspended marquee flooring along with a 3m x 18m link into the main hotel conference area and a 6m x 9m kitchen marquee for the catering staff.

Features
The marquee featured our suspended marquee flooring which is perfect for use on multi-level, uneven surfaces. It provides a flat and solid base for the structure. We also hired an aluminium trackway to assist us (and protect the ground) in accessing the ground at the marquee site as it was extremely soft. Sufficient marquee heaters were added to ensure the marquee was warm and comfortable despite temperatures outside being below zero. The temperature was controlled by thermostatic controllers from within the marquee. The marquee was fully lined with our soft ivory drapes (which can be selected from our range of marquee interiors) with no window walls. Marquee lighting selected was our globe chandeliers, enhanced with LED coloured uplighters to soften the look for the evening in the marquee (powered by generators hired in for the event).
Solution
We provided the additional area that our client was needing. The marquee was used for all the dining over the two-day period of the conference for the delegates and also for the evening gathering. Having the marquee linked to the hotel ensured the dining ran on schedule with no interruptions to the conference area itself. Both areas worked side by side to ensure a professional and efficient conference area.
