With the onset of Autumn, it’s time for winter flu vaccinations and booster vaccinations to help in the fight against Covid.
We are working in partnership with a number of GP practices in Ayrshire again to provide temporary vaccine clinics and pre/post vaccine waiting areas for patients. With the fast changing schedules, we have been able to react to changes in marquee sizes and importantly, clinic dates to provide the exact, tailor made facilities that are required – working closely and directly with individual practices to ensure the facilities are exactly what is required.
Ocean Terminal Marquee, Greenock
At the end of September we made a few minor adjustments to a marquee that we have supplied all summer to the Ocean Terminal in Greenock. The marquee was installed in June to provide facilities for the terminal for use over the Summer for the visiting cruise liners. We arranged the generator to supply the power for the lighting and heating (it is Scotland after all!) and it provided the perfect temporary structure to assist them over the busy Summer season. With our home base being in Dunoon we could see the ships coming and going on the Firth of Clyde all Summer – the tent was well used with cruises in every other day!
With the COP26 Climate Conference taking place in Glasgow we have installed structures to be used as a security area for guest screening and also catering areas. We maintain that our marquees are for all purposes and this proves the point with the same marquees having infrared security scanners and the others having infrared ovens! As we move into the Winter months we have a very large contract on the horizon for marquees for filming for a TV show. We won’t be saying who this is for at the moment… client confidentiality!
Winter Marquee Maintenance
Our usual Winter maintenance programme has started with the task of overhauling our equipment over the Winter months. Painting, varnishing, machinery overhauling and of course, lots and lots and lots of… washing by hand and with our Havencrown machine.
