Monthly Marquee Events Review – May 2017

May is traditionally a busy, busy month for us and this year has certainly been no exception!

Loch Fyne Food Fair

Earlier in the month the team were at the world famous Loch Fyne Oysters in Cairndow to install the marquees for the Loch Fyne Food Fair. This annual event is a must for ‘foodies’ and is a well established, well organised event that we love working at. It’s a great opportunity to showcase local food and crafts with a good measure of music, ales and an assortment of gins into the bargain. The location is quite spectacular and not a bad commute for the team!

Wedding at Kilmore

The wedding marquee nestled in the Oban hills near Kilmore.

Another spectacular location we have been at this month was at Kilmore in Oban.

This was the location for a local wedding – we supplied a 9m x 27m marquee which included a 9m x 6m kitchen area for the caterers, Silver Laced Catering from Oban.

Our suspended flooring was perfect for the uneven terrain and the porch with the festoon lighting made a perfect entrance to the marquee.

There was even a customised horse box which was used as a Prosecco bar!!

Lomond Foods Trade Fair

Our vehicle on site and ready to unload!

We were delighted to be asked by Lomond Foods of Port Dundas in Glasgow to provide a marquee for their Trade Fair.

The marquee consisted of two 12m x 25m marquees that were linked by a 10 metre walkway – this area was full of exhibitors for the catering industry to come along try some new products.

There are lots of other exciting events to share with you over the coming weeks, the team are flat out now and the season is in full swing. Fingers crossed the weather stays on our side!
