As May continues the team have been all over the west coast with a whole host of different events. It’s in at the deep end for our new staff members – Lorne at our Hillington depot and David at our Dunoon depot! Welcome aboard boys!
Islay Festival
We had our annual trip across to Islay for the whisky and music festival. We have supplied a marquee to the Bruichladdich Distillery for their weekend events for several years now. The Festival is now in its 31st year, proving its popularity. Pencil in 25 May to 2 June for next year’s event!
Largs Food Fair, Scottish Series and some weddings
Largs Food Fair was held this year over the Bank Holiday weekend.
This was our second visit for the event and it looks like the event was a fabulous success. The weather for the build was great on the Friday and it held up pretty well over the weekend. There was food stalls galore, music and childrens’ entertainment – it was a well organised event and attracts visitors and foodies from all around the area.
The Bank Holiday weekend also played host to the Tarbert Scottish Series – the highlight of the Scottish yachting year – and we were again delighted to provide them with the main tent which was 9m x 21m marquee and a 9m x 15m marquee with a 3m canopy and smaller food tents.
We also managed to squeeze in three weddings at the end of the month, two at High Wards at Gartocharn and the third one at Ardkinglas House!
And now it’s time to gear up for June and it’s even busier than May!
