August is always a completely full on month for the team, it is always busy, busy, busy!
Piping Live! in Glasgow
This week we have been removing our marquees that were in Glasgow for the Piping Live! music festival which runs before the World Pipe Band Championships. We installed two marquees, 6 m x 18m and 6m x 6m, at the National Piping Centre in McPhater Street and also installed one in George Square too. George Square had a 12m x 15m merchandise marquee and a 6m x 30m marquee for the Pipers Market. It’s a great event and its great to be working in the heart of Glasgow.

Music Event in Dunoon
The local BID organisation hosted a music event in our home town of Dunoon at the weekend. The 12m x 40m marquee was situated in the local Coal Pier Car Park overlooking the river – it’s a great view and a great location in the heart of the town! Again the weather wasn’t great for the installation however on Saturday, the day of the main event, the sun made a rare appearance.
Horse Trials, Weddings, Beer Festival, Highland Games, Phew…
Blair International Horse Trials is on from 24th – 27th August this year and we have the privilege of working with them again as one of their suppliers. The 15m x 55m marquee is split between the members, sponsors and the ERM area with a 9m x 18m kitchen area linked in from the rear.
Amongst all of the above installations we have also installed a wedding marquee at the lovely Kingarth Hotel on beautiful Bute, a local home wedding marquee in Cowal, a beer festival at Hamilton Rugby Park and Glenfinnan Highland Games. And once we did all that….it was time to start the Cowal Highland Gathering build.
We couldn’t manage all these installations without our experienced staff and supervisors who are working through what is undoubtedly one of our wettest Summers – huge, huge thanks to our hard working team!
