Another Successful Boat Show
Scotland’s Boat Show was held this month at Kip Marina, Inverkip again this year. This free event is open to the public with a whole host of activities and things to see and do!

The build for the Boat Show is large and the marquees were built over several days – due to the time of year there was some fairly inclement weather to deal with.
In total there were two 15mx 40m marquees, a 15m x 50m marquee, a 12m x 40m marquee and two smaller marquees of 9m x 30m and a 9m x 15m marquee – a substantial build indeed.
The event was a great success although the weather could have been kinder on the first two days but then again people who love getting on the water don’t mind getting wet!
This year there was a visit from the fabulous The Kelpies maquettes.
World Solo 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championship

We have worked with No Fuss Events on many occasions at their outdoor events and we were delighted to be back in Fort William this weekend for a 24(!) hour mountain bike race that they were organising!
Our images show the marquee build from laying the floor and frame, the frame in place and finally with the covers. The structure was 6m x 66m, sectioned of into 3m x 3m bays for the competitors to use.
Marquee Winter Maintenance
Now that the season is quietening down a little and with the busy Summer season over, it’s time for the maintenance to begin. We are still putting marquees out but not to the same level as in previous months.
It’s time to wash the marquee covers for the winter, give the linings their final wash for the season and pack them away over the winter months so they are ready for the new season. Floors are varnished, fences are painted and the tools are out for the machinery maintenance – there’s always something to be done.
