Scottish Game Fair
The Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace is our marker for the middle of our Summer season. It follows close on the heels of the Royal Highland Show and a lot of our equipment is taken straight from one show and into the next. In the main we work for the Scottish Game Fair itself, Saltire Hospitality, 3D2D crafts and the odd private marquee hire for traders.
Our marquees are spread throughout the Fair and are used for various purposes – entrance, dog creche, scurry, security and first aid to name a few. The build takes the team several days and they often stay local to make best use of the late summer daylight and to dodge the tourist traffic on the roads!

Marquee events in Central Scotland and beyond…
Youth Theatre Arts Scotland Youth Festival
Youth Theatre Arts Scotland hired marquees from us again for their Youth Festival in the lovely Rozelle Park in Ayr at the beginning of the month. They hired the main marquee, 9m x 24m and a smaller 3m x 6m area, decorated with festoon lighting and a stage area for performances.

National Bowling Championships
Our largest job throughout the month of July is the National Bowling Championships at Northfield, Ayr. There is a vast amount equipment on site – retail marquees, kitchen area, bar, changing areas, VIP hospitality, furniture, lockers… in fact over 1650 square metres of floor area between them. Unfortunately the weather such a mix of sunshine and showers with the last day getting torrential rain… a typical Scottish Summer.
Tiree Agricultural Show
The weather was kinder for our annual trip to beautiful Tiree for the Tiree Agricultural Show. There is a full schedule for the day including pet show, tossing the sheaf, home baking, livestock competitions, junior pedal tractor race, jewellery making and lots more. The day was brought to an end with a dance in the marquee in the evening beside the bar – just like it should be on an island show day which is always at the heart of the community!
Marquee for sailing events
Croabh Haven Marina was a lovely commute for the boys travelling through Inveraray, Lochgilphead and Kilmartin Glen in Argyll.
The marquee was used for hosting the participants in the local sailing competitions from their briefings to prize ceremonies at the end.
A temporary marquee venue is ideal for this sort occasion when you want to keep a large amount of people together over the course of a weekend, providing a central muster point for them!

Clan MacDougall International Clan Meeting
Clan MacDougall hosted their International Clan Meeting at Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds near Oban. They had a whole variety of activities and events planned with participants travelling from all over the world to take part.

On top of all this we have hosted a private wedding, an 18th birthday party, another agricultural show and a corporate golf marquee. On top of all this we are still working with a filming crew across the country. No two days are ever the same for us… and that’s the way we like it!
