Marquee for Scottish Schools Education Research Centre conference
After our two week annual break, we were back on 7th January and straight into preparing for our first big job of 2019! We were asked back to the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in Clydebank for the second year running to supply a marquee for SSERC (Scottish Schools Education Research Centre). The main conference facilities were used as the main event area and our marquee was used for all the day’s dining and the evening get together.

The main marquee was a 15m x 30m structure, one of our corporate grade marquees that provide a large, open and airy feel to any event. We also installed marquee uplighters inside the marquee which looked amazing both inside and outside the marquee especially in the evening. A smaller 6m x 9m marquee was added to the back of the marquee for the catering staff to prepare and deliver the meals and buffet from.

Marquee link
To provide access into the main building we installed a 3m x 18m linked walkway. Both the main marquee and the link were lined in our pleated ivory lining to give a warm, fully finished effect. This year, we installed an extra door within the link to the main building to keep warmth in the marquee and to add to the overall comfort.

Marquee heating
We installed our indirect diesel fuelled heaters outside the marquee – they blow warm air into the marquee throught ducts and the temperature is modified by thermostatic controllers from within the structure. Even though it was chilly outside the marquee was kept at a constant and pleasant temperature for the delegates.

New salmon fishing season opening on River Teith
The opening day of the River Teith was held on Friday 1st Febraury at Callander and we worked with Scott Mason, Fisheries Officer for Stirling Council again. We supplied a 9m x 21m marquee for attendees. The weather could not have been better – with a glorious blue sky and crisp frost. The team installed on Thursday, taking along water filled ballast barrels with them to help move the installation along and then returned on the Friday afternoon to remove structure following the event.

New staff welcomed at Tents and Events
