Hosting your celebrations at home!

Our work with late summer weddings in the September sunshine continues.

A beautiful garden wedding and happy newlyweds

We recently received a glowing letter of thanks from one of our clients. His daughter had a a truly unforgettable wedding day in a marquee built in the family garden. The space was tight but with site visits and a careful measure of the garden it fitted in perfectly!

The family were, in their own words, blissfully happy! Our client freely admitted that his initial reservations and concerns were unfounded:

‘I had qualms about having the reception at home, but it turns out I was wrong and need not have worried. In the lead up to the wedding when the pressure was on, it was reassuring to have them (the staff) around. They paid attention to detail, they were careful where they parked and were respectful of our house and garden – and afterwards you would hardly know there had been a marquee on the grass at all’.

Sounds like we did a great job and we left no trace of the marquee in their garden, which is the way it should be. And whilst we don’t have images of the build itself, here are some photos of a garden marquee built for a party and how the magic of hosting your celebration at home happens.

The floor is assembled. This particular floor uses our Floorstak system which ensures a robust, strong, level floor for use in the ‘F’ system corporate grade marquees. This style of marquee has a higher leg length than our ‘P’ system marquees and they have an open, airy feel to them.

The toilet unit is secure and in place. The remainder of the frame is built around it and the bags containing the roofs are placed around the tent, ready to be pulled over the structure and into place. After this we slot the walls into place!

A ramp is placed for guest access into the entrance maquee. Our red thermobile heaters are ready to gently blow warm air into the marquees when the temperature drops in the evening. The heaters are thermostatically controlled from within the structures.

After the party! This is the site immediately after the marquee has been removed. Would you know that a marquee was here the day before? We don’t think so!
