It’s the end of an era — and the beginning of an exciting new chapter
After 27 years stewardship, business owners Janet and Graeme made the decision to retire in 2024.
While the business was not sold in its entirety, Crown Marquee operators – Tom and David — acquired some key marquee assets to enhance their existing capabilities and offering moving forward.
In addition, they purchased the website, social media channels, and trading name of Tents & Events — keeping some uniquely significant assets right here in Scotland.
Janet and Graeme established Tents & Events as one of Scotland’s most reputable marquee hire businesses — and maintaining the standards set is something which is not taken lightly.
A Winter Like No Other
For most marquee hire operators and event companies, the period between November and February provides some operational slack. Affording the opportunity to work at a slower pace and make use of some annual leave. For Tom, David and the team, it’s been the opposite and operations have continued to run at pace.
Geared Up And Ready To Deliver
Between quoting for new and returning clients of both Crown Marquee and Tents & Events, absorbing new stock, and transitioning operations to our Glasgow base — it’s been a whirlwind… and we’re loving every minute of it.
Planning Ahead and What’s On So Far
Our office has been buzzing with enquiries, including many long-standing clients of both Crown and Tents & Events. With our schedule already filling up fast, we’re thrilled to be reconnecting with event organisers — both familiar faces and new ones — to lock in plans for the upcoming season. As always, a large part of our calendar is dedicated to annual and returning events, but spots are booking up quickly! If you’re planning an event, now is the time to secure your date.
