Client Requirement
The client was looking to hold a Wild West-themed party and include authentic decor and props. Colin Lipsey of Display Works designed the theming aspect and we worked alongside him to finalise the marquee specification.
Marquee Style
A 9m x 30m marquee was installed with a marquee catering area of 9m x 3m as the main dining, bar and dancing area with the addition of an adjoining 9m x 18m verandah and BBQ canopy area.
Location
Glasgow.
Features
The function area was large enough to provide informal dining, with room for dancing after the BBQ dinner, whilst the veranda area gave an outdoor feel. The main feature was the authentic Wild West bar, large rustic tables and benches and the props which included bales of hay, a large tequila bottle and a Bucking Bronco. The marquee was themed with gingham and hessian bunting.
A white starlight roof lining gave the impression of a starlit sky in the outdoor area. A combination of strings of LED Festoons and colour change up-lighters created the mood later in the evening.
Solution
The greatest challenge with this site was access. However, our vehicle tracking ensured that there was no damage to the client’s garden and provided good access to all suppliers. Our steel sub-base suspended floor gave a perfectly flat and level surface to the slope in the garden.
