This week the team have been focused on the Cowal Highland Gathering build in Dunoon.

Ceilidh Marquee Installation
The build for Cowal includes the 15m x 35m floored ceilidh tent with 3 canopy extensions complete with a 6m x 12m backstage area for the guests. No ceilidh tent would be complete without a bar so the large Ceilidh bar is situated at the rear of the marquee. There is a 12m x 15m food area adjacent to the marquee for guests to eat and drink in and to shelter from the occasional shower. The ceilidh tent is situated in the top section of park over looking the main arena and along with this structure there is also several 3m x 3m tents installed for the solo piping in the top part of the field which will be used on the Friday of the Gathering.
Catering Marquee
There is a main information office within the grounds along side which there is a 9m x 21m Officials’ catering area and the Trophy Room which houses all the silverware prior to the prizegiving in the late afternoon.
The Patrons and Sponsors of the event have a 9m x 30 marquee with solid glazing which provides an excellent view onto the main arena.
Marquees for Dancing and Exhibitors
The Scottish and World Highland Dancing Championships are held at Cowal and we provide changing areas for the dancers, the Main Platform Cover with 6m pavilion units (pagodas) and a further two dancing platforms with warm up areas.
No Highland Gathering would be the same without a bar and we provide a 9m x 18m floored bar for thirsty visitors! Oh and yes there are marquees for Crafts, the Glasgow Science Centre, market stalls for traders, ‘Wild About Argyll’ marketing tent and a Haven marquee for the local churches.
It’s a huge installation as you can see and then come Sunday….we start taking it all down again.
