Well, what a month September proved to be. We always knew it was going to be a busy one!
Staff Day Marquee
We started the month off by installing a 15m x 30m marquee for regular clients in Inchinnan. They host their annual staff day in one of our marquees and have a different theme each year. This year’s theme was Highland Games which went down a storm! Dates are on the schedule for next year already – what better recommendation can you have from clients!
5 Wedding Marquees
We have had the pleasure of hosting 5 weddings this month and there is still another one to go before we close our wedding book for 2017!
The locations we have worked at this month include stunning private residences in Dumfries and Lochgoilhead, High Wards at Gartocharn and at Kingarth on the Isle of Bute. The weather has been fairly mixed over the month with a mix of typical Scottish weather of sunshine, showers and cool breezes.
Our marquees are kept at a constant temperature by our indirect diesel-fueled heaters – they are quiet and economical to run and are just perfect for keeping your guests comfortable. We often get asked to leave heaters out for our quotations but we know from experience that even a Summer evening can be chilly. The last thing you want is for your guests to remember your wedding by the fact that your marquee was too cool!
Festival Marquee in Inveraray
September is BOWFEST (Best of the West Festival) time in Inveraray – a fantastic event of music, food, crafts and more! BOWFEST has a 15m x 50m music marquee, 15m x 25m food marquee, 9m x 57m whisky and craft marquee and a 9m x 21m kids entertainment marquee – that’s a whole lot of structures.
BOWFEST is an ‘end of season’ showcase held annually in the grounds of Inveraray Castle and is a two-day celebration of food, drink and music that shines a light on Argyll as a prominent and world-class dining, drinking and travel destination. It’s local for us and we love it!
More Festival and Corporate Event Marquees
Wigtown Book Festival is a literary festival based in Scotland’s National Book Town of Wigtown in Dumfries. Again we have a massive amount of equipment out at this festival – over 1300㎡ of literary space to be precise. We have worked at Wigtown for 10 years now – it’s a fabulous event and Anne Barclay does a fabulous job organising the whole event.
In-between installing all of these events we have had other corporate events, furniture hire, an agricultural show and an internal conversion to a hall for a wedding.
Tents and Events (Scotland) Ltd have been providing marquees and tents for almost 20 years now. We have exceptional experience in the event field and we pride ourselves on our knowledgeable and professional service that we give to all our clients.
