It’s has been another full on busy month for the Tents and Events team again, as you would expect in the Summer months!
Four Weddings (No Funeral)
We have had the privilege this month of providing marquees for four weddings (but thankfully no funerals!). They have all been very different and absolutely what each of the clients was looking for on their big day.
We have had a gospel choir, a glitter ball, chill out zones and wedding guests literally from the four corners of the earth!
We love the fact that news of our marquees will travel around the globe.
Outdoor Event Marquees
We have supplied plenty of marquees for outdoor events this month. We started off with our annual trip to Scone Palace for the Scottish Game Fair. We have supplied marquees there for several years and they are highly valued and respected customers of ours and we enjoy working at such a lovely location.
Specialised Security asked us to supply marquees for their staff that were working at T in The Park at Strathallan, Perthshire. Our power washer and industrial washing machine were put to good use as with all festivals it was very muddy.
Outdoor Events in Largs
The Glasgow team were Largs bound at the end of the month for two fabulous events. We installed a 15m x20m marquee for the Scottish Sailing Institute as they are hosting the Optimist National and British Open Championships. This will run to 5th August 2016 and promises to be a great event in a great location.
Further along the road there was a Classic Car Festival in the centre of Largs – what an amazing day. We have worked with Largs Matters on several occasions including for their Food Festival and have a good business relationship with them. It’s great to see events happening to bring visitors into the area.
From Troon to Tiree
It was certainly all going on in Ayrshire this month as we also provided a marquee for a client who was providing hospitality for The Open in Troon. Their marquee was finished with burgundy swags and a matching burgundy carpet which looked fabulous and just a little bit different. It was a great success and our client was delighted with the service they received from us.
Our furthest travelled job this month was to the island of Tiree for their annual Agricultural Show – again we have been travelling to Tiree for this show for a couple of years now.
Well it’s on to August now, time to draw a breath and go! It’s going to be full on!
