National Bowling Championships, Ayr
Our week started down in Ayrshire again installing the marquees for the National Bowling Championships 2017 at Northfield, Ayr.
The championship is running from Monday 24th July until Saturday 29th July. We weren’t able to tender for the event last year due to other commitments so it’s great to be back working with Jakki and her team from South Ayrshire Council.
We are providing a main marquee comprising of a 15m x 18m marquee linked to a 12m x 20m marquee, a 15m x 15m bar marquee, a kitchen marquee, a 9m x 39 m retail marquee, two 9m x 15m changing area marquees, a 9m x 12m hospitality marquee and not forgetting a 3m x 3m ticket sales marquee! The build was spread over a few days and is all ready for the competition to begin on Monday.
AAM Scottish Open Golf Championship, Dundonald
We were back at Dundonald later in the week to remove the marquee that we installed at the Dundonald Links Golf Clubhouse for the AAM Scottish Open Golf Championship. We shall hopefully be able to post images of our marquee shortly.
Dundonald Links and it’s sister course at Loch Lomond have achieved a notable double with both being listed in Scotland’s top 30 golf courses in a new ranking. We have also previously worked with Loch Lomond Golf Club and hosted a fabulous wedding there earlier in the year. It is truly is a first class venue!
UFC Fight Night at the SSE Hydro and then Tiree bound!
There was a UFC Fight Night at the SSE Hydro on Sunday evening and we were delighted to be asked to install a fully finished marquee next to the venue for the event.
We enjoy working at the SSE Hydro and have worked there for various different events such as the Glasgow Tattoo, Scottish Caravan and Motorhome Show, World Gymnastics Championships 2015, Nitro Circus and Arena Cross Biking.
Two of the team have headed west this week and have been in beautiful Tiree installing marquees for the annual Agricultural Show. It’s a great day full of things to do and see for both locals and visitors alike. Hopefully Angus and the organising committee will get a good day for the show!
